Retail Therapy

Mama Got New Shoes!
I love shoes! It's been a while since I've had a new pair. Well I was at a Math Conference in Portland for a few days and you'll never guess what I did?! I shopped a little. I know...it's hard to believe. I used to buy shoes because of the look but now I buy based on comfort. (Does that mean I'm getting old?) You don't have to answer that. We made a quick trip to Nordstrom and I found two pair of shoes that I loved! I couldn't decide which pair to buy. Lucky me...I had Connie and Kristal to help with the decision. They both agreed that I "needed" both. I'm a little shocked that I bought the red ones because I am pretty conservative and usually only buy brown or black. I guess I'm getting a little sassy!!

I love the cute little bow on this pair.

Not only did I get red...but red patent leather.

One evening after dinner we ran into Target. It is obvious that we don't get out much;) We were all totally mystified by the escalator. We had no need for a cart but we grabbed one anyway. Kristal put her purse in it so it wasn't a total waste.

Nope...it doesn't take much to entertain math teachers!

I can't wait to spend my birthday gift cards from you, Tam, and Wendy at Nordies!!!! I might just have to copy you by buying the Dansko's with the bow...LOOOOVE THEM!!!! It is so good to shopping with ladies who totally understand when more than just one pair is TRULY NEEDED!

Target with an escalator!!! I have never seen one! I guess I need to get out A LOT more often.

I was totally cracking up just seeing that picture of Corey smiling. I hadn't even read what you had written yet. Seeing that pic makes me realize how much I do miss all of you in my life each day. :) Great memories and good times!

Glad you had a productive math conference. No reason to waste a trip to Portland and not pratice your math skills at the mall...NO TAX!!!!!!!

Forgot...You just a LITTLE sassy?!?!?! The red shoes will help to make you even wittier. I bet on days you wear them you will have some very "smart" comments in the hallways.

And remember...The Good Witch says "If you need to, just click your heels together three times while saying "There is no place like home..."

Nothin better than new shoes that will get you out of a jam!!!

Okay, I want to go to that Target.

Thank you for saying my sister is great...she sure is! She is absolutely the best shopping partner, that's for sure. Glad you had a fun weekend.

I got 50 scrapbook pages done this weekend! Only one year behind now :)

Ok, you found the nerdiest picture we math nerds could do! Well, except the Lion one. That was pretty bad too...

It was a great weekend. Talk about mental patients on the loose.

Okay, any time you need therapy, just call me :) I can help you with some of the deepest problems while making a good shoe purchase!! Don't you just love those Targets?? My kids always want to ride up in the cart or race in the elevator and see what makes it to the top first! I just leave them there and pretend I don't know them while I shop :) Sounds like a fun weekend!

I think I actually saw you at the game, but I wasn't SURE it was you. Yes, it would be fun to chat in person one day.

I am so proud of my sister, I can't even tell you. She is just a phenomenal person, inside and out, and I love her dearly.
